I have a hyper-v 2012r2 5 node cluster and the hosts only have the on-board GPUs (dell poweredge C6220 II's)
on this visualization environment I have 2008r2 session hosts (for the windows 7 experience) that we are connecting to using Wyse terminals (D90D7 windows embedded 7 SP1) so they are capable of using remoteFX. On the terminals the RDP client has been updated to 8.0 and the local policy changed to allow remoteFX and with a device plugged in I get the option on the rdp connection to tick the device for remoteFX redirection. What I dont get is the device showing up on the session host or the extra buttons on the full screen tab?
I have tried following the various articles about installing and configuring but I need to clarify, if it is just a session host VM and not a visualization host VM, do I need the session host VM to have a "RemoteFX 3D Video adapter" from hyper-v? as most things I have read talk about session hosts not needing it.
