Hello,
I have an issue with RDP session redirected printers not using the printing defaults. Here is a brief overview of my setup:
Server 2012 R2 - Print Server (let's call it PrintSvr)
Server 2012 R2 - Remote Desktop Server (let's call it RemoteSvr1)
Windows 7 Pro - Client (let's call it Client1)
Dell Printer (let's call it Printer1) shared from PrintSvr
The default printing setting for Printer1 is "Print on one side/No duplex"
This setting is on PrintSvr. When you add the printer to Client1, it also has this default setting.
When Client1 connects to RemoteSvr1, the printer shows up, but the setting is now "Print on both sides/Duplex". The same driver is installed on PrintSvr, RemoteSvr1 and Client1.
What causes this behavior? Why does the default setting get lost when connecting to the Remote Desktop Server?
