We have built a citrix XenApp site om 2012 r2 and had to build a new RDS lic server since the old one was not compatible with 2012 rds cals. Upgrade was a no go, too big a risk, its a domain controller...
We did not yet put any lics on it because everyone is still working with the old one and we have a grace perion of 120 days anyway.
But now it seems that if a user starts a published app it takes about 12 seconds longer to start up than in the old situation.
I found with procmon that the time between the first contact with the license server and the moment the TCP disconnects from the lic server is about 12 seconds.
So i'm wondering: does it take longer in grace period than when you have proper licenses installed?
