Dear Pro´s,
we´re running an Terminalserverenvironment with Windows Server 2008 R2.
Currently - problem started showing up like two weeks ago, I don´t know about any changes made to the systems - we are facing issues with applications that are connecting to any backend over the network. For example, PuTTy-SSH-connections are closed after some
minutes and SAP Logon-Sessions are terminated as well.
The colleagues from the networkteam already checked the configuration and cannot find any setting that could lead to this behavior.
For Putty I was able to solve the issue by configuring "StayAlives" being sent out every two minutes. Anyhow this is just a workaround and does not solve the problem itself.
Do you have any idea, where this could come from? Any GPO to configure this? I´ve already found some registry keys that could be set (like HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters -> TcpInitialRTT (DWORD) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters -> TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions (DWORD)) but this seems to be only related to 2003 and should already be in place with correct default settings in 2008 R2.
Is it possible that TCP/IP autotuning has something to do with this problem?
Thanks in advace and best regards
