We have a weird situation that i will try to explain :
We have an application hosted on a server that manages printing and another server that serves as print server.
For a particular printer the driver must be installed on the client server (the application server) but we must have also the printqueu on the client.
We map the print queue from the server , to do so we go to explore and we type \\server\printer and then the printqueu is mapped on the application server
As long at is mapped it works well but when the user who mapped the printer loggs off it stops working on the client we observe on the event viewer that the printer is deleted and when the user logs on again it is recreated.
Is there a way to make this mapping persistent ? Or any other know solution for this case ?
Also if possible maybe i am using the wrong terminology when i say mapping the printer maybe it's a wrong term , also if possible does this have any relation with redirected printers ? and what is the difference between mapped and redirect printers if there is any ?
