So after much searching, I have not found anything exactly what I am asking but pretty close. I have deployed RDS as a single server solution since it's a very small deployment to include RD Gateway and RDWeb access. Initially from my inexperience,
I published an icon on the Remote App section of the web access and all was fine and still is. But, after more experience using RDS, I have found a better way and more secure way of having users access remotely from outside my network is to force the
use of the RD Gateway so all I need to open is 443 on the firewall. I still want users to be able to just use the icon on the RemoteApp window of web access to get a full session based connection to the RDS Host server (same server anyways) but force
them into using the gateway settings. I have checked all the settings on the web access config page and the host server connections as well as Remote App config page but even after setting them when a user connects to the RD Web page and either shooses
a remote app or the icon for the full RDS session, it still does not use the RD Gateway and still uses 3389 to connect. End result, I would like the users to access the RD Web page and open any icon on the Remote App windows and use 443 to connect to
the RD Gateway and not bypass it and use 3389.
