RDS Gateway help - stuck with multiple domain scenario

Hi all, scenario is as follows;

We have 2 domains, and a shared DMZ between them. There are 2 firewalls separating the DMZ from each side.

Domain.1 holds 4 Session Host servers, license server and 1 Connection broker

Within the DMZ there is a Gateway server (which is joined to Domain.1). We aren't utilizing RDS Web Access. The Gateway server is accessible from Domain.2 and all required firewall ports are opened.

We want PC's from Domain.2 to be able to utilize the gateway server to access the RDS collection in Domain.1.

I've set up RDS in Domain.1, issued all the required certs, and on Domain.2 I'm now attempting to launch a RDP connection. I've tried a few things to get this to work but it just errors out with a generic error and nothing appears to be logged anywhere.

1) What hostname do I enter into the computer field? The Connection broker or one of the session hosts or the gateway server itself? (I know the gateway server gets added to the advanced properties)

2)What other configuration do I need to perform in Domain.2? Does it need a DNS zone created for Domain.1? If so, what records need to be added - I assume gatewayserver.domain.1 at least but what about the others?

Thanks in advance
