Hi everybody,
we are setting up a RDS Farm and are publishing one collection with primarily WebApps. Because some of the users of the collection need full remote desktop access to the session host, I added the MSTSC.exe to the published WebApps. It seemed that everything works like a charm BUT then we encountered one big problem:
The Users are working on a MS Access Database, the access runtime was installed correctly thru terminal server setup. The users are connecting thru Webacces AND a RD Gateway server. If one user is working on the DB, the second user who tries to access the database gets a "Permission denied" message from MS Access and can not open the DB.
If one of the users connect directly to the connection broker/session host without using the RD Gateway server, both users can access the DB without problems.
I also found out that when users are connected over the RD Gateway server, two sessions per user are created on the session host. If they connect directly to the session host, only one session per user is created on the server. Maybe this is connected to the unwanted behavior the we see.
I hope one of you guys can help us with this issue!
Best,
Mike
