We have a single server on our domain, running WS 2008 R2 standard.
Server roles include both remote desktop (licensing server as well as various remote desktop roles) and AD DS.
The server is to be retired, replaced by a new server running WS 2012 R2.
I have set up the new server with AD DS role, could install some RD roles, but installation of RD Connection Broker, Web Access and Session Host roles fails.
This issue is addressed for WS 2012 in Article ID: 2799605, with a servicing stack update available in Article ID: 2871777.
Remote desktop sessions are currently functional on the new server, but a warning message intermittently displays that warns of connectivity loss in x days (currently 117 days) due to lack of an RD Connection Broker.
When will a similar fix become available for WS 2012 R2? Many small businesses with single servers will need to have their single server running all roles.
