I am seeing an issue that is about ready to drive me nuts. I have a 2008 Enterprise terminal server and a 2003 Standard terminal server. I am trying to configure a screen saver at 15 seconds that won't lock the session out. I have
the GPO set up so that it only affects the users. For some reason, the GPO applies but does not work on the 2008 server. Funny thing is, is that it works great on the 2003 server. I've dumped my .scr file in the C:\Windows\System32 folder
on each server and have pointed the screen saver executable to the file. I don't want the screen saver password protected so I disable that setting. I set my timeout at 15 seconds and then log in with the account. It does not work.
The screen saver shows it's set at the one that I want to use but it won't execute it. The thing that is driving me nuts is that the thing works when I enable the password protected set up. What in server 2008 makes this happen and is there a way to
get it to apply without having the screen saver password protected? Like I said, the GPO works great on our 2003 server, does exactly what it's supposed to, just on the 2008 Enterprise that it doesn't. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
