Hello dear forum gurus. A few month ago I started similar thread here, but that thread was less descriptive because I didn't dig into the problem.
First of all I’d like to describe our environment: we have Standard Terminal Server Farm with DNS Round Robin. Every RDSH Server is Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. Users connect to their session via HP Connection Manager from HP Thin Client t5570e. Thin client OS is Windows 7 Embedded.
So, we had problem with sound since the first day, but we didn’t pay attention to it, because it was not a priority. But now, this is the only problem we have with our Terminal Servers.
Below is information I tried to gather
- Internet Explorer: sound is good and the video is good. When I watch video on full screen mode sound stays good but video becomes choppy when, let’s say Shakira makes rapid movements while dancing. The video I watched was HD video with 720p of quality
- Mozilla Firefox: same as Internet Explorer
- Google Chrome: sound is very choppy even when watching video in normal mode, not when full screen. When I switch to full screen mode both the video and sound are choppy.
- When I watch full HD video in .mp4 format, even in full screen mode, video playback and sound are ideal!!!
So I’ve read that HP Velocity can help to resolve this problem. Believe me. I read its guide. Twice. But HP velocity doesn’t make any changes to sound and video delivery. At least I didn’t notice any changes.
Please help me to find a solution. I think RDS Farm administrators faced with this issue and I ask them to share their experience of overcoming this problem. I suspect it is Flash player issue, but would like to read you thoughts first
To forum admin: please do not block this thread, block or delete previous one.
Thank you all in advance
