Environment is 2 2008 servers, one a domain controller, other a terminal server. We want to to remove the terminal server from the domain and decom the DC. Terminal Server is its own licensing server, and a part of the Terminal
Server License Servers group. After we remove from the domain, we are concerned that the terminal licensing will break because it wont be able to check the security groups off of the domain. Will we be able to change the discovery scope for the licensing
server to Workgroup from domain once the server is no longer a part of the domain? I know that option is greyed out while connected to the domain, and I can't find any information about others making this kind of change and it working.
We really do not want have to try to export the CALs and reinstalling the licensing on the terminal server if at all possible.
